For specific information on the services that a notary can provide to you in the State of Washington, click on the following link that will take you directly to the Dept of Licencing for the State of Washington.

Briefly stated,

  1. The document to be notarized cannot have any blank spaces, except for the signature/date areas for the Signer and the area(s) to be filled out by the Notary.
  2. Document must be signed in the physical presence of the Notary.
    Signer must be properly identified by the Notary. (See link above for specific information on current identification requirements.)
  3. Notary must fill in all of the following:
    1. Notary Certificate – may be part of document or attached to it, (b) Jurisdiction (state and county) where the notary act was performed,
    2. Date the notarial act was performed,
    3. Signature and printed name of the Notary and Notary Title (Notary Public).

Note: In the State of Washington a Journal is not required by law; however, Best Practices for Notaries and Certified Signing Agents do require this and we adhere to this policy. A copy of your identification will need to be provided to our Notary prior to the Notarial Act being performed.
